RE: Chadron State College presentations
Dear Karl:
I am writing to thank you for participating in the 2009-2010 Galaxy Series at Chadron State College. Your message on the "Six Keys to Success" tied directly into several events that we had on campus. Your two presentations were outstanding and I would like to commend you on your ability to adapt to the two different groups.
What was wonderful about your first presentation was the way that you tailored the information to student athletes on teamwork, courage, dedication, desire, honesty and forgiveness and goal setting. The students related well to the information and to you. I also wanted to take this time to thank you for staying after the presentation to visit with the students. We find that alot of speakers don't stay around to visit. Visiting with people after the presentation really shows that you are dedicated to what you are saying and that you want to make a difference in young adult lives.
I am still receiving feedback from parents and guests about the great messages you provided to our community in your second speech. Your humorous approach appealed to the young in the audience as well as the older guests.
I can't say enough about your ability to adapt to the two presentations and your flexibility to make time to also attend part of our CSC Homecoming game. You are an inspiration to young and old. I plan on forwarding your name on to other colleges in this area.
Thanks again for the wonderful presentations to the CSC Community,
Sincerely, Shellie Johns CSC Coordinator of Conferencing

RE: Front Range Christian School Graduation
Dear Karl,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, students, families and friends of Front Range Christian School, thank you for delivering a stirring commencement address on May 16, 2009.
Words seem inadequate to describe the impact your presentation had on our graduating seniors. 20 minutes hardly seemed long enough for the audience in the packed auditorium to fully absorb your message. You were engaging, funny, and poignant, particularly as your message pertained to the Christian faith.
Thank you for taking your position as a role model seriously and for challenging our graduates to build lives of character. We truly appreciate your commitment to investing in the lives of others.
Your family is a blessing to the Denver metro community. Hope to connect with you again soon my friend!
In His Service, Scott Thistlethwaite Director of Admissions Front Range Christian School

RE: Wyoming Coaches Association
To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to recommend Karl Mecklenburg to your group as a speaker. Karl spoke at the 2008 Wyoming Coaches Association Summer Clinic as a general session speaker and was captivating. We had people referring to his session at the 2009 clinic, hoping that we would bring him back in the future for another visit. Karl has an innate ability to connect with the audience and provide them with a meaningful experience that they take with them back to their community. The effects of his presentation were far reaching for our organization. His demeanor and interaction with people puts them at ease and maximizes their enjoyment and benefit. Karl shares personal stories, life lessons, and observations in a way that draws listeners in and provides them moments of self reflection for growth. Mr Mecklenburg was a joy to work with. He was willing to tailor his presentation and topic specifically for our group and give them useful and pertinent information. His session was genuine and well planned for our group. We appreciated not receiving a "canned" presentation. In closing, our experience with Karl Mecklenburg was wonderful. We found him to deliver exactly what we had agreed upon, but in such a manner that the results far exceeded our expectations. He is a genuine person that we hope to utilize again within our organization due to the requests of our membership that attended his summer 2008 session.
Sincerely Wade Sanford President - Wyoming Coaches Association

RE: Pueblo Community College
I am writing this letter of reference on behalf of Karl Mecklenburg. We hosted Karl on our campus as the Keynote Speaker on October 7, 2008 for the Student Leadership Workshop. Students, Staff, Faculty and Community Members participated in a 1-hour workshop on leadership presented by Mr. Jay Zarr, had dinner and heard the Keynote Address by Mr. Mecklenburg. From the planning phase of this event Karl was very professional and easy to work through all the logistics. After the event was planned, I had to request a change of date and Mr. Mecklenburg so graciously agreed. The opportunity to hear a former Denver Bronco speak and get an autograph drew a crowd of over 120 participants. All of the feedback I received from participants was extremely positive in regards to the content and message of his well delivered speech. Personally, I was very moved by Karl Mecklenburg's message. He shares his personal failures which led to his success as a standout defensive player for the Denver Broncos. On rare occasions do I feel compelled to write down excerpts from a keynote address. I took notes!!! His presence created an exciting atmosphere on campus and throughout the event. Without question, I would bring Karl Mecklenburg back to Pueblo Community College! Karl is a great role-model with a positive message. I highly recommend him due to his OUTSTANDING presentation, message and motivational style. Should you have any questions of concerns, please feel free to contact me at (719)549-3019 of via email at Derrick.Padilla@pueblocc.edu
Respectfully, Derrick I. Padilla Coordinator of Student Activities and Events

RE: Parent Student Event at Regis University
October 7, 2008
Regis University had the distinct privilege of bringing Karl Mecklenburg, of Mecklenburg Motivation, to campus as one of the highlights of our Family Weekend schedule. He did not disappoint. His presentation, which focused on “Six Keys for Student Success”, was incredibly well received by students and parents alike.
As an academic institution we bring a broad variety of speakers to campus with the goal of enriching our student’s lives and their experience of Regis. Karl did exactly that. Drawing upon his rich experience as a professional athlete, Karl wove a narrative that was insightful, engaging, and impactful. What sets Karl apart from other professionals in the speaking industry is that he is in that select group of presenters who immediately resonates with an audience as authentically genuine. He has a sincerity, a humbleness, and an approachability that surprises an audience and in doing so makes an immediate connection with them. That connection, in turn, is the conduit though which he’s able to convey his passion for impacting others and making a difference in their lives.
It was our pleasure to have Karl here and we look forward to his return.
Sincerely,
David E. Law

RE: Student activities speech at Colorado State Pueblo
On September 3, 2008 the Office of Student Activities at Colorado State University-Pueblo had the honor of hosting Karl Mecklenburg as a motivational speaker. Mecklenburg’s “Six Keys to Success” was not only inspirational and motivating, but also incredibly entertaining. The students and community members who attended the event all had wonderful comments about Mecklenburg’s presentation. He was able to use his experiences in life to drive his message of success home to an audience of nearly 100 people. By including personal stories of his life and football career, the connection Mecklenburg was able to make with his audience was fantastic and note-worthy.
Mecklenburg used his recipe of teamwork, courage, dedication, desire, honesty, forgiveness and goal setting, to encourage students on our campus to find their path in life and take it. He stressed the importance of an education, but what I enjoyed was the way he explained that his “Six Keys to Success” could also be used at work and relationships as well.
After the presentation, Mecklenburg voluntarily stayed for awhile to talk one on one with anyone who wanted to meet him. He happily posed for pictures, signed autographs and talked Broncos with anyone who requested the opportunity. Although I was lucky enough to see Mecklenburg speak on our campus, I plan on attending another campus in our town to see him speak again. His presentation, “Six Keys to Success”, is truly inspirational to me, my students and my community. I would recommend Karl to any group of people who are looking to be motivated in life, and would rate him as one of my top five favorite speakers.
Sincerely,
Daneya Esgar

RE: Natrona County Schools
Oct 18th, 2008
It is my great pleasure to write this letter for Mr. Karl Mecklenburg. Our school district is in a time of transition. We have a new superintendent and are embarking on change to improve experiences for our students. Our students and staff needed some inspiration, courage, and hope. Enter Karl.
He worked with our high school students, providing them stories of his past failures (who knew) and successes, inspiring them to never give up. We put him in a gym in front of hundreds of students as well as smaller classroom settings in our alternative schools. He even took the time to visit students that were in our correctional facility to give them hope.
Our central office facility holds monthly staff meetings to help connect the adults providing services to the schools. These meetings have gone on for years and typically lasted 20-30 minutes with fairly drab information. After hearing the great feedback from our teachers and principals at the schools we had Karl speak at, we decided to ask him to stay on and speak at our staff meeting. I visited with Karl the day before our meeting and told him about the change our district is undergoing and the fear that our staff was experiencing. He agreed to come in and see if he could help. We quickly put out the word that he would be at the meeting.
Karl's presence greatly increased attendance and excitement for our meeting. The next morning, people began showing up a full half hour prior to the meeting beginning. We had standing room only. Some came specifically because they knew he would be there, but all of them were touched by his presentation. Karl showed a unique ability to connect. He not only nailed the messages that supported our needs, he also stayed afterwards to visit with people. He signed autographs, took pictures, and even let people try on the Super Bowl rings. I remember one of our long-term staff said it was her "best day at work ever". He really helped us on our path to making a better culture for our organization.
We will definately have him back again. His impact was worth every penny. The bottom line is we hired him because of his accomplishments with the Denver Broncos. We were wowed and amazed by what a great individual Karl is.
Thanks for everything, Karl. We can't wait to work with you again.
Yours, Kelly Eastes Manager, Community Relations Natrona County School District, Casper, Wyoming

RE: Regis High School Father/Son Dinner
Dear Karl Mecklenburg,
I am writing to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to spend the evening at the Regis Father Son Dinner on March 16th, 2008. Your presence was a true asset to the success of our evening and I truly thank you for your time and expertise.
Your presentation on the six keys to success inspired not only our students but also their fathers. Every day our students rely on lessons of teamwork, courage, dedication, desire, honesty and forgiveness and goal setting not only as students but athletes, friends, sons and siblings. Your approach to life lessons encouraged them to be true "men for others" in and out of the classroom. These boys were inspired by your presentation not only as an athlete, but also as a husband, father and business leader.
It was wonderful to have you relate the evening to the school mission statement. Your presentation was another example for our boys to learn to demand more of themselves through excellence by being open to growth, intellectually competent, loving and committed to justice.
I continue to receive feedback from our fathers and sons on your wonderful message and keys to success for overcoming obstacles as they fulfill their dreams. Your humorous approach appealed to the young and the young at heart. Thank you again for sharing these statagies that can be applied in the classroom, on the field, at the office, or in our homes.
We had a wonderful evening and truly appreciated your words of wisdom.
Thanks again, Nancy Frank Regis Father/Son Dinner Chair

RE: McDonogh School, Baltimore
18 February 2008
To Whom It May Concern:
I am delighted to write a recommendation on behalf of Karl Mecklenberg, who was a featured speaker at McDonogh School during the 2008-2009 academic year. We invited Karl to speak to our Upper School students and faculty and also to our team captains about his journey to the National Football League and his experiences as a professional football player. Karl’s story inspires because by all accounts, his amazing career with the Denver Broncos never should have happened. Karl’s story is one of inspiration because he made it to the NFL against all odds.
Our students and faculty thoroughly enjoyed Karl’s very honest and compelling story. Karl told of his experiences with grace, honesty, and humor, and showed why he was considered not only to be one of the best players in the NFL, but one of the most inspiring. I recommend Karl wholeheartedly and hope that he has the opportunity to share his story with your students.
Sincerely,
Charles W. Britton

RE: Delta County Teacher's Inservice Meeting
Karl-
Sometimes we don’t get to hear the effects of our efforts - thought you’d be inspired by this:
You recently spoke to the Delta County teachers; my son who attends Paonia Junior High where some of these folks teach reported this to me:
In class today my teacher said that he was going to be more forgiving with us. He said he heard a talk that inspired him to do this. So instead of handling disruptive students the same way he had been he would write their names on the board as a warning and let them off if they didn’t cause any more disruptive behaviors thus being forgiving with them
The ripple effect, Warm regards-Bill

RE: Heritage High School Leadership Conference
Hi Karl!
I wanted to pass this email along to you from one of our parents. Also, to further iterate know how many our students enjoyed your presentation. You came out of the conference as a favorite not only to the students, but to the sponsors as well. We all had parents and teachers Wednesday night at conferences telling us what good things they had heard about your speech. Some were quite jealous they missed it! :)
Thanks again for everything! We look forward to working with you again in the near future! Kristi Brethauer Heritage High School - Student Government
Dear Mr. Moritz, I am a parent of Jim Foreman, a junior at Heritage. He was invited to attend the leadership conference held last Wednesday, October 18th. I just wanted to pass along how much he enjoyed the day's activities. Jim was especially impressed with Karl Mecklenburg's speech. It was great for the students to hear successful people who had to work hard for their accomplishments. Thank you for allowing the day to take place. Please let the teachers and speakers who were responsible for the day know how much it was appreciated.
Sincerely, Karen Foreman

RE: Coastal Bend FCA Champion's Banquet
Karl Mecklenburg was the keynote speaker for the 5th Annual Coastal Bend FCA Champion's Banquet in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 8, 2005. Karl was tremendous in his approach and presentation. He effectively used his experience in the game of football and applied those key principles and life lessons to our everyday life. His audience was captivated by his use of stories and personal experience. Karl has an incredible way of taking simple lessons that we all "know" and showing us how to practically apply them in our lives for change.
Our banquet has had several keynote speakers in the past, but none have generated more post event conversation than Karl has, and all the feedback was positive and several even said that it really made them re-evaluate their lives.
I would highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as a speaker for motivation and spiritual growth.
Sincerely, Ken Halcomb Area Director - Coastal Bend FCA
